I had the same problem. The led would lock up. I called RTI service. I sent the remote and the IRF to them for repair. The IRF was fine nothing was wrong. He send there are some different firmwares for the IRF. I guess mine was alright. Mine LCD was going bad on the bottom part. He replaced the LCD and upgraded the firmware on the remote. Now my system has never been better. I actually have a problem of it being to sensitive and turning on equipment or running a macro with only light touch on the LCD. It was a great improvement. It cost about $50 plus shipping $15 to repair the units.

Just call service and be nice. He told me the new units were compatible with the old ones. Repair your unit and add more when you need them.
