RTI has changed their policy and now sells only to dealers: they will not support end users directly
-the software (even v1.0) now requires a password for access /updates
-T2+ may not have IR learn capabilities: you will need an IR Pro, a separate device that has an IR eye and USB interface to learn IR codes (you only need to learn IR codes if they are not in the database: from my experience there are always some codes not in the database (e.g. the new HD Tivo default codes are available, but alternate address codes are not): and there are always new toys with new codes
-if you can find a dealer that will sell you these items and make the software AND FUTURE UPDATES available to you, and does not mind if do your own programming, you may be OK; assuming RTI allows this?
