Next why did you not use multiple control systems so you
could use RF for all? I personally use RF as a starting
point for all systems and have had the best of luck. I
have had the need for IR once in a while and it was very
easy to make a command IR from an RF based system.
I'd call RTI tech and see what they think.

Not a matter of affordability, it's that the person has plasmas and cable boxes all over the house. There is no point in spending the money on control processors whether it'spocket change or not - the setups are very simple. There are also security cameras and some other control sysstems in place and plenty of RF features as well.
My point was that you should be able to set a scrolling list to IR or RF and it's a limitation that is not neccesary.
