Most LCD codes use NEC2 protocol device 7.7. Most plasmas use NECx2 device 7.7. Most Samsung TVs use one or the other. The function numbers used are very similar between the two protocols. I think most people have been trying the NEC2 codes when in fact their TVs are using NECx2 codes. It seems that some of the smaller LCDs may be using the NECx2 codes which are usually associated with the plasmas.
