Instead of giving up and buying an mx-950, why not upgrade to a better processor & remote? Buy a T1, M2, or T2+ with an RP-1 or RP-6 - I am going up in price...
Sync up a new config file with just one button for RF. Make sure all connections are tight. Obviously when you moved the unit you disrupted something which explains why it still does not work. Did you load a new config on when you moved it? If so, try with your original config for upstairs. Other than that it sounds like interference has been introduced to the equation that has not been there before...

I have a crazy problem that i can not figure out

after rewiring my complete home theatre - I moved my irf-6
to the basement with a high gain antenna

unless i was point at the box or antenna it did not work

i checked all 6 channels as well as making sure the remote
was set up for RF (which it was)

I then moved the irf-6 and antenna back upstairs and the
problem isa still there

the rf worked just 1 week ago

i unplugged all wireless routers and phones and i still
cant get rf

any ideas??

i am just about ready to give up and get a univerasl mx-950
