I created RP-1 and RP-6 layout sheets, as well as a receiver connection sheet

We do the IR the same on all systems....

Port 1 Display
Port 2 receiver/pre-pro
Port 3 main source (cable box/sat box)
Port 4 DVD
Port 5 VCR/lights/aux source 1...CD or similar
Port 6 lights/shades/aux source 2....tape or similar

we even layout port numbers for the RP-1 outboard ir hub...EB-5 or CB60
on the RP-6 we use a silver sharpie to label the short jumpers as well as label the ir plugs
