The serialtocommand.lua is the LUA driver, for the controlynx. This is used to connect a device that can send rs-232 commands to the control lynx. ala a RP6 or XP8.

This driver allows you to use Rs-232 to send Ascii commands to the Nestreams components. Therefore you can send a command to the Dining room speakerlynx to turn on. Or you can raise and lower the volume etc.

The only known/documented commands are thoses posted on the dealer doc's site in regard to programing for Third Party Control.

As I have said, this driver is not supported as this time and they may have some future RTI driver.

The cool thing here is that you then could hook up the XP8 (if it ever becomes avail) to the netstreams system via rs-232 and use the time based events to have things occur on the Netstreams system. Like at 8:00am turn on the volume in the bedroom to a low level and start playing source X. Then have the music gradually get louder and louder every few minutes.

This driver is avail and I know of other who have used it before succesfuly. Again it is a use at your own risk but I haven't heard of any issues either.
