The issue is that due to the EIM bus, that the Irlynx connects to, that they couldn't allow one to use the other common reeivers from other brands. Becauase of this they had to develop their own receiver that uses lower power levels and thus is not compatible for a direct connection. Stupid I know.

Where is the Ir lynx located. I have heard other peole mention that interference from Plasme and other EIm sources can really affect performance, even though its supposed to be a plasma proof receiver. What brand emitter are you using? Have you tried another brand to se if you get better results?
