We are installing a system which includes 3 RP6s in the same location because we need 6 RS232 and 8 routable IR ports. We are trying to use only 1 RM433 since the 3 processors are next to each other. We connected the system exactley as described in the RTI Tech bulletin "Using Multiple RTI Control Processors -RP1/RP6", page 2 - Scenario 1: Control processors located in close proximity.

Basically what we did is wired the RM433 to the first PR6 using 12v, ground and signal and used only the ground and signal wires to connect the first RP6 to the second and the second to the third. The system though does not work in this configuration and although the RM433 responds (LED blinks) to the RF signal form the remote, it does not send anything to the processors (the green LEDs do not respond) . Even more this configuration destroys the RM433s (we tried two) because when we tried to connect them back to a single processor the problem was still there.

We are going to use 3 RM433 (one for each processor) to solve the problem but it should be possible to use only one..

any thoughts?
