Had you considered the 232 capabilities of the Elites?
Fairly extensive, I'd put their 232 capabilities up against
the Denon.
This Denon nonsense is absolutely crazy. To make flags for inputs I can live with. To make flags for DSP's is absolutely ludicrous. Nuts. I like Pioneers, but how do they sound? I don't think I completely care about RS-232 since most of these receivers have IR in which run almost the same. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a great sounding receiver that is easy to control in the range of the Denon 3808 and Marantz 8001? This is for a dedicated theater room that is being built now.
Thanks,
