Issue with Denon is that it drops the input for a moment wen you send an input command. Power on command does not have an effect once the unit is on. So you have to flag your situations to keep from sending and input command if its the same command...

Well that was as clear as mud...

Make sure buttons on the remote are set to standalone and you are triggering macros on the processor...

Enter DVD macro....
Test Flag DVD
if

Denon Input DVD
Set Flag DVD

Clear Flag Cable
Clear Flag Tuner
Clear Flag CD
Clear Flag Whatever
Escient power and the rest of the commands that you may need. (blah blah blah)

When you enter any mode (DVD, CD, TUNER, CABLE, WHATEVER) clear flags for the other modes.
