Actually no problem at all.

It's great that you have a solution, however I certainly won't be doing that for my customers or myself. I can just hear the phone ringing now "my drapes caught on fire from my T2 battery charger, didn't you just fix that". For DIY'ers this is a great solution, for someone who runs a company with very high general liability insurance and overhead, I think I will sell the customer the OEM part and not worry about it. Or direct them to a Batteries Plus store and have them repair it, which shifts liability to the store.

The other issue about the IR codes, just go through the motions and tell us that you have tried the Mega List and done a search that is all. I found the codes for the Hitachi around here several years ago by searching and finding out that you can take the OEM remote and have it spit out discrete inputs.
