I don't get the comparison of the MX-1000 and Pronto. I have been looking for a RC that first and formost performs the functions that I will use 99+% of the time. After reading most of the excellent reviews by Mr. Tonks and briefly playing with a few of the models, it is apparet that only units with lots of hard buttons will work for my Satellite setup. The Pronto simply doesn't have enough hard buttons. I want programmability but not at the expense of hard buttons. It appears to me that the only two remotes that really support my level of surfing are the TheaterTouch T2 and MX-100. The MX-1000 is more than I would like to spend but probably will, the T2 is definitley out of my price range (half the cost of my big screen!). Remotes like the Pronto without sufficient surfing buttons simply aren't interesting to me, the remote that came with my satellite with very limited/non-learning multi device control is still far more usable for surfing than a touch screen device like pronto.

I look forward to receiving an MX-1000
