I was criticizing the MX-500 then switched gears to rip the MX-1000 :). If I'm going to spend $200+ on a remote I don't really want to put up with obvious design flaws. It's really a shame because both of these are a lot closer to what I want than anything else on the market. If they fix these shortcomings in the next iteration I'd buy one immediately.
