This may not be the best forum for this (actually, after Cedia it might be after all).

Has anybody worked with any 'standalone' IR keypads...that is to say, the learning, code storage and flashing are all handled through one standalone decora style keypad (number of buttons does not matter). I mention Cedia because I think URC might be coming out with just such a creature (or perhaps it will require an MRF base to issue the codes i'm not sure).

This is for a bathroom install where the receiver is stashed out of sight...we just need some limited controls out where the customer can get to them (on/off volume etc.). Although there is an MX3000 and an MRF base, they were never intended to service this part of the house so a simple local keypad is all the customer wants.

I think I've heard that some Xantech keypads are standalone IR learners/flashers...i'm sure they aren't cheap, but this would work fine.
