Well, the universal remote that I own even states in its manual that the remote may not control all of the features of my device. So, without any luck getting it to change the discs in my DVD changer, it only seemed logical that some Universal Remotes simply do not have all of the same features as others. I'm certainly not going to take a marketing term like "Universal" as an absolute.

I own a Phillips Universal Consolidator. It cost me around $10.00.

The problem that I am encountering is that I do not know the combination of functions that will allow me to switch from one disc to another, if there are any. I cannot find any instructions relating to a multi-disc DVD changer in the remote's manual.
