I've really got to wonder about posts like this.
I have been using URC products for 3 years and
have almost no problems with them. I haven't had
a single issue with the 3000s in the last year
and a half. There is no issue with the current
update that I've seen. I've used the new software
to modify existing remotes with no issue.

I follow the basic RF rule of "keep the MRF away
from the digital cable box and DVD" and never
have RF issues. I always use an RF base.

I very seldom have to make return service calls
because I use IR routing and have great RF. 90%
of my service calls are because an emitter fell
off or they spilled something on the remote. We
now silicone the emitters on.

These remotes aren't idiot proof, they are installer-proof.
You can't just throw these things in and expect
them to work.

This mirrors my experience with URC. I love them. I never have any RF issues with the MX-800 and 850, and inmy home system that I am using an MX-3000, no issues either, and I am tryiong to screw it up. I njust wixh the MRF-500 was available already.
