My youngest son has Apraxia which is a speech
problem. I programmed the MX-3000 as an augmentative
communication device and he used it all the time
to communicate since age 2 (4yo currently). He
would take it to preschool to communicate with
the teachers. It has had its fair share of drops.
He hasn't needed it in the past several months
since his speech is starting to become intelligible.
The remote is used in my living room now and
both kids use it fine and it still gets dropped
occasionally. My older son is 6. So far the
remote has been fine. I do think an 850 is tougher
though.

That is just too cool. It just proves that an open mind can overcome just about anyting LOL. I would have never thought of that type of use for the MX-3000.
