The Moto boxes can do power on with menu, power, power; off with menu, power. You'd have to do that individually with each. Else leave them on all the time like I do.
Only caution is if you have a DVR, the above won't work reliably if in the midst of recording. A query box pops up and says, "do you want to keep recording or not". Blows the deal
