Better yet, if you have had surgery you'll know what I'm talking about. Ever get your bill with the total amount, then get your insurance bill and see the adjusted amount.
I had two stainless steel staples put in my thumb to repair tendon damage. Hospital charged my $900 a piece (half the size of an ordinary staple), insurance company had an adjusted rate of................................wait for it.................................$75 each.
