The RFX-250 will be available seperately, and will work with the MRF-300. The RFX-250 works best with newer remotes that have a newer RF transmitter, I'd have to look back to see which remotes are most compatible. I believe it is compatible with all MX-900 and TX-1000s. Some older 3000s, MX-850s, and MX-950s may not be 100% compatible but the newer ones will be.

I've tried a some RFX-250s and I have to tell you they are truely awesome! Some houses we had some intermittent RF troubles, some relatively severe, and in ALL cases everything was perfect after I put the RFX-250 in!

Once they are available, it is quite possible I will never use an RFX-150 again.
