Now I was thinking "wouldn't it be great if I
could program the IR codes from the remote for
my airconditioning unit to the MX-800. So I set
up all the learn sequences and eagerly went to
try it. Unfortunately even though the sequences
were recorded in the learn set up it does not
control the air conditioning unit :-( ?

Is this not possible (i.e. wrong frequencies ???)

Alec

Are you sure that the air conditioner uses IR and not RF? See if the AC remote works from outside the room or with your hard covering the top. If it's RF, you're out of luck. If it is IR, you may have more success learning with the standalone method Damon mentioned above.
