What she told you is a rumor right now. The rumor started back in Feb of this year and even went so far to say that there is a manufacturer overseas, I believe ASUS, who is developing the BluRay for the xbox360. MS seems tight lipped and even denies it.
You can draw the obvious conclusions as to why they are denying right now.
