Alot of time it is for a "push" and a "push and hold" function. Some companys do this for control. People are funny, some "push" the buttons for a half a second and others "push" the button for 2 or 3 seconds. I have seen this with my own two eye and was very shocked. The companys that make these remote know this. The first "push" sends "1" code and the second "push"(push and hold) sends a repeating code.
