I could learn commands from the original 942 remote (which
is on address 7) but then I lose the discrete on/off data
that comes in the IR database.
One suggestion is to not turn off the Dish Network receiver. They basically stay on at all times anyways, (monitoring the data stream from the Mother Computer), so I never power mine on and off.
Then just learn all the commands from the other remote that has the correct address.
