Since my IR database is obsolete, I'll need some extra info in order to figure this out.

When you select a model number from the IR database, it shows you the "code number" used for that model. For example, when I select Dish_510, it shows Code number 122. When I select ID#7 instead of a model number, it shows code number 187.

I can't select Dish 942 in this obsolete database. But maybe the code number you get for "Dish 942" will give me the info I need to understand why ID#7 didn't work for you.

Alternately, an mxf or mxd file with LEARNED signals from the original 942 remote on address 7 would definitely tell me what I would need for helping you. My email address is in the profile. Be sure to label or explain the buttons so it will be clear which are the learned signals I should look at in your file.
