If you bought elsewhere refer to the sticky "Getting
Software for Your Remote" at the top of this page.
Quite possibly someone may even send the updateable s/w
as a favor.

Thanks for the response. I went to the website above, but there's something wrong with the format of my serial number as the form does not like. My serial number format is xxxx xxxxxx. There is another field to the left of the serial number, but I don't have any other numbers or letters to input.
In addition, I bought my MX-700 about 4 years ago and can't remember where I bought it from.
