Hi everyone,
I have an MX-600 and am in the market to upgrade to get discrete code capability. If I could get discrete codes for my MX-600, I would keep it. I'm no longer running the video through my surround sound system so I need to be able to go directly to a specific video input on my TV instead of using the generic input button. I also want separate on and off codes for each device.

I borrowed my friend's Logitech 550 to learn the codes I need, but it didn't work for some reason. The "Good" message appeared each time, but it didn't work when I tried it. This same friend keeps trying to talk me into a Logitech 880, but the buttons just seem too small and crammed together for me.

I like the look and the features of the MX-900, but I've read that the buttons have too soft of a feel compared to the 600 and other URC remotes.

I also like the MX-850 since it is almost identical to my 600. The biggest drawback to this unit seems to be the serial port interface.

Any recommendations?
