I agree, background photos for wallpapers would not be a great idea.
However, it would really look nice to be able to choose different solid colors in the background as wallpapers instead of just white.
One could possibly use a different colored background wallpaper for each device.
That together with the option of having different colored icon backgrounds for devices would really improve the looks of the R50/MX-450.
Right now the R50/MX-450 remotes do not look much better than my URC-300. I can also say, with few exceptions, that my URC-300 is as powerful as the two remotes.
