I can understand your post RC...

But if a company cant evolve or at least be able to offer some sort of flexibity with their software than they take the chance of consumers buying other products.

I have several dos based win98 software programs that will allow me to at least choose a different com port to choose from.

I just got back from the EHXpo in long beach and there is some serious competition with the color touch remotes out there for less money...

So I would hate to see philips create a $1000 remote that is not flexible with future changes in OS software upgrades...

just my thought...

not to say that Im not going to go out to get another usb adapter...I will...just that I spent a hour or so
late last night trying every which way to try and get this adapter to work with my laptop...

just got frustrated...
