Does anyone have any long term experience with Yahama DVD players?

I have a customer with a bad Yahama DVD 1000 in their rack. The system is about 10 years old and is controlled by AMX. We had an AMX programmer come in to program the system. He is no longer in the area and we are in a remote location.

Long story short, I would like to replace the DVD player with another Yahama. I simply want to see if anyone is aware of any changes in Yahama's IR codes. Will the DVD 1000 codes work on the new Yahama DVD players?
