Is anyone using the Home Theater Master MX-500
universal remote with the Sony SAT-T60 DirecTV
receiver with TiVo? I have read the review but
I still have a few questions regarding TiVo functions:
1. The MX-500 has no TiVo Central button? Can
one be programmed?
2. Can Thumbs Up/Down functions be programmed?
3. Would I just hit the MX-500's FF & REW buttons
3X for TiVo's 3X (speed) FF & REW? How about Advance
(to end of program)?
If the MX-500 is not the ideal remote for TiVo,
which remote is (lists are fine!). Thanks all.
I use my MX-500 with a Sat-T60 and an SVR-2000, and have no problems with either one. I just cleared the device keys I wanted to use and learned each ot the TiVo remote keys to the MX-500. You may have to experiment to find a layout that suits you, but I used the transport keys on the MX-500 for the same functions on the TiVo and learned the rest to the LCD keys.
