Boy, what a can of worms. I am a non-tech type and know nothing about DVD's. I live in Costa Rica and have a Sankey DVD8751CH player, but no remote. The first DVD's I rented; one worked fine, but the other would display picture, but no sound. There are sooooo many connections on the back of the player and I had to try them all before getting the correct cable connection.
Also, I have a CD/DVD payer/recorder on my computer and can play DVD's but am unable to direct the output to a TV. Perhaps my Video card will not allow this.
