Sears had quite a display of recorders when I was in their Sunday and they were all out of the box for display so I was able to spin them around and look at the I/O but now I don't recall if they had Component In/out or just Component Out. At least I could look at them !! I was too busy trying to see if anyone of them advertised near HD quality - DVI- as I have seen in some ads and forgot to check for sure on the component out.
What was funny was I was trying to sell the better half on getting one explaining that it is both a DVD recorder and a VCR and will take up less room in our cabinet than our separate units. I thought I had her sold since she thinks things are getting messy in the cab. Sears had a 10 percent sale going on, they had an open box unit that had a knocked off price....and so on.
But she was not sold. We didn't get one.
Than when we got out to the car her comment was "How will we play DVD's if it only records DVD's ?".
Oh well, maybe it is just as good that I wait for a ATSC built in tuner !!
