Basically I would like to capture some HD I watch on PBS. I guess I would have to connect the Component out from my Samsung 451 into the compnent input of the DVD recorder. Plus I realise that the output form this arrangement will probably not be much better than progressive SCAN DVD when I watch it 2nd hand. But at least it will be better than watching it as recorded from a Analog version of PBS over a VCR.

Some questions:
1. Do the DVD recorder/players output recorded DVd's in Component ?
2. Do any of them have built in OTA HD turners ?
3. What output do the DVD recorders output in that claim almost "HD" quality ?- DO they have DVI output.
