Offairguy,
I'm in Toronto, Main & Kingston Road, I'm using a CM 4228 with a UHF preamp. My antenna is mounted 10' above my southerly eave pointed due south towards Buffalo and Niagara. I'm slightly elevated above the Toronto Beaches area due to the rise that Kingston Road takes on it's way into Scarborough.
I receive with good signal strength (70%-99%) ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, UPN, PBS, CBC-E, CBC-F, CTV, & Sun TV. City TV comes and goes. In the near future I will add another antenna to solve the City TV problem by mounting a 4-Bow Tie UHF antenna pointing westerly directly towards the CN Tower.
Some of my work associates live out in Oshawa and have simular results with just a 4-Bow Tie UHF antenna. Again some stations like City TV they can't get.
I purchased my antenna equipment from Sal's TV Service, 6525 Kingston Road, 416 284-7333.
I hope this helps...
