Just as a follow up on my initial problem-- I pulled the plug on the Tivo and left it overnignht. D*TV tech support told me to do a complete reset , wiping out all the programming recordings etc before they would replace the unit. I went home, replugged in the unit and it has run fine since-- never did the complete reset. After I watch everything I recorded, maybe I'll do it as a house-cleaning procedure

This is my 3rd HR10-250 1 DOA and 1 hdmi failure in a week. This one seems to be running, and when it does, it's great. IR sucks, but there are enough "how to's" on here to fix that--

What is up with MPG 4 and our old units? Anybody really know?? Time frame?? MORE HD channels??
