You can try checking the hard drive in your computer to see if something is wrong with it. But, if it is within the 1 year warranty they will replace it. You'd have to contact D*, even if you bought it at a different dealer. If it isn't the hard drive, this is definitely the route to go.

Some people have had success recovering a dying drive with a certain utility program that maps out bad sectors, but that is really just a patch. It can't actually fix a drive. I can't remember the name, but there are threads on it at the Community.
