Thanks, this is a a situation where DirecTV is saying that there is a compatibility issue and we have tried. The Samsung recognizes that the the HDMI to DVI is connected, but there is no image on the set. The previous Direct TV receiver without the Tivo worked fine, but it was a a DVI output on it. So, we have hooked it up via component, it works (using the component connection), but I am just curious as to why it is not working (HDMI to DVI). I do not understand as I have used HDMI to DVI cables before and wanted to know if there was someone out there who knew why it was not working. Thank you for you thoughts.
I have worked in this business for years and know of the issue of how poor the connection is on the HDMI, just trying to get to the truth of why this HR10250 and the Samsung are not working on the HDMI to DVI connection.
