I'm trying to program the remote the remote that came with my Panasonic plasma television to adjust the volume and turn on/ off my Bose Cinemate speaker system. No luck with any codes in the book or with a code search. Any advice?

I also have a Directv "blue" universal remote. Can't get that to operate the Cinemate speakers either.

Finally, I have a Panasonic combination DVD/VCR. I can program both remotes to operate it but neither has a button to select between DVD and VCR functions. The romote that came with the Panasonic has a DVD button and a VCR button. Without them, is there any way to select? Right now, the universal remotes operate the Panasonic unit on the functions that were used last.
