I just bought a Samsung dvd/tuner combo (the htx40), and
cannot seem to get the stock Dish Network remote to program
to control the volume on the receiver. Bummer. I called
tech support, and they gave me a couple of codes that
might work, but they didn't. According tech support, these
"combo" machines don't work well with the Dish remote.
Any advice on getting this thing to work? Also, I am open
to purchasing a new universal remote, if I can be sure
it will work. Any advice out there?
