Not all D10's can switch remote addresses, but the R15 can, so lets switch it.

Before you start, program AV1 or AV2 with code 00002( in the case of the HR20 use code 00003 instead), leaving DTV symbol set to code 00001. at this point it doesn't matter what remote you use to do this, the RC16 or RC23 that came with R15.

On the R15, press Menu> Settings> Setup> Remote> Receiver Mode:

1. you will see either DIRECTV or AV1/AV2, click on whichever to reveal both at the same time.
2. press AV1/AV2, the remote shouldn't work any longer, now slide to AV1 or AV2 whichever has code 00002 (in the case of the HR20, 00003)
3. Press Done, now the receiver changes addresses
4. now exit the menu

Now if you want you can program the DTV symbol device with code 00002 as well, and change AV1 or AV2 to whatever you want.
