I modified the battery case by cutting away some plastic so you can use either the original 4 AA batteries or (as heavily discussed on RemoteCentral) a 9V battery in order to achieve greater brightness of the backlighting. Both configurations allow for normal closure of the battery lid. This mod is completely non-intrusive...you can simply use the original 4 AA batteries in the normal manner.

Asking $95, a price I think should bring a quick sale.
