I just purchased a new home system for my bedroom. It's a Magnavox MRD500VR DVD/VCR Home Theater System. Works great for a small system but my problem is the 2 remotes I picked up at Walmart don't do what I want them to do as far as some of the real functionality. Because I have 3 items on the same device, there's a source button that selects what item is being used. I can handle the basics: play, stop, power, etc but I need to program the volume control and source button to make it useful. What I'm looking for is a few suggestions of remotes that will not only handle the tv, dvd, rec and vcr functions but let me program a few items from the original remote. I'm not looking to spend hundreds on the unit (I tend to lose remotes in my bedroom) but if that's the only way I might have to break down and get something that advanced. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
