I think you misunderstood Chris. You can use as many IR543s as you like in your home, but you have to make sure that your Pronto IR commands will only reach one of the IR543s at a time. If an IR command is received by more than one IR543 at the same time, the result will be that nothing happens because the two power line signals collide and cancel.
