No they wouldn't, nothing would happen! The X-10 signals would conflict and both transmit at exactly the same time and no command would happen. You could build a relay box that would switch to one or the other to allow you to use say housecode A and B in the same room using the same remote! This would allow you to control 30 X-10 devices instead of 16. You would use your 16 to switch between housecode A or B using 2 appliance modules and the relay box. The Relay box would use 3 120v relays which can be purchased from R.S. for around 6.00 each. By this time you are close to the cost of the X-10 Pro Macro Controller (PMC10) which would allow you to use 42 IR codes to control 42 devices or macros which could include up to 36 devices each!
