There are two good receivers out there you might want to look at. The first is the Kenwood VR-309. MSRP $399, but you can probably find it in the $300-350 range. It has 3 video inputs, both composite and s-video, and it will do video switching for you. It has built in DD and DTS decoding. I got one of these a few weeks ago and it's great.

The other is the just released Sony STR-DE835. MSRP $480, but Crutchfield has it in stock for $400. Same DD and DTS decoding, but it has more inputs and outputs, as well as a DSP with tons of different sound modes to choose from. I got my Kenwood as part of a package deal, otherwise this is the receiver I would have purchased. Nothing wrong with the Kenwood, but this one just does more.

I like the Kenwood remote better, as the Sony has another one of their flip remotes that are such a pain to use. But considering where these messages are posted, you're probably not planning on using the remote it comes with anyway...
