I borrowed a copy of Video Essentials from a friend when setting up my home theatre. You'd be surprised what a difference you get in picture quality compared to the TV's default settings. It also helps with the audio setup especially if your receiver's test pattern is too short. Even though I can always borrow it, I still may buy my own copy just to have it.
