I am not connecting the Sima to my receiver. My Receiver also has no Svideo inputs or outputs. I ignore it's video switching completely. Video signals DON'T go thru my receiver. They go into the Sima, and out from the Sima to the TV.

Audio, on the other hand, goes thru my receiver. The Sima WILL switch audio but it won't decode surround sound so I don't use it to switch audio. Audio goes from my devices straight to the receiver. The Receiver decodes the audio and sends it out my speakers.
