I have just purchased an RCA DSS dish and receiver (DS4280) that supports Dolby Digital. I have a couple of questions, first is the setup and install of the dish and receiver difficult. I have easy access for dish placement and cabling should not be difficult.
Second, I have Sony 43 inch projection TV, Pioneer VSX 508 receiver, and Pioneer DVD. My Pioneer receiver doesn't have any S video connections :( I think I have 3 optical connection on my Pioneer rec. What would be the best way to hook everything up? When you use the optical connector is that just for audio? Would you still need a Video input, if I connect the RCA rec. to my Pioneer rec.? Would I run the TV to the RCA then the RCA to the Pioneer or run both the TV and RCA sat rec. to my Pioneer rec.
Last quesiton is does are S video connections that much better than using a good quality video cable?
